Giethoorn nicknamed the Dutch Venice, located 120KM from Amsterdam feels like a world apart from Amsterdam. The postcard-perfect Dutch Village is home to hundreds of thatched villas and wooden bridges, surrounded by water on all sides. You will start exploring the village first by walking tour, followed by a boat ride. You also have the option of taking a private boat where you will be sailing on beautiful canals and lakes of Giethoorn.
If time permits, we will explore some of the attractions nearby Giethoorn including Camp Westerbork, which was used in World War 2 for Jews as a transit camp, to concentration camps like Auschwitz and Sobibor.
Alternatively, you can visit the National Park Weerribben – Wieden.
